1-4 Power Cable

1-4 Power cable a type of cable used for electric power transmission. Also composed of one or more strands of insulated wire. Covered with a conductive sheath and an outer protective layer. Thus power cable used within electric networks for the transmission of electricity. The power cable has traditionally had a cylindrical shape, with the power lines encased within a single or multi-conductor metal sheath. Also referred to as a “stranded” power cable; alternatively, a “solid” power cable.
